Cosmetology
The Cosmetology curriculum fulfills the licensing requirements of the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology. Students who have completed the course and have earned a high school diploma or GED are eligible to take the State Board Examination. In the first and second years, students are taught the basics of draping, shampooing, manicuring, pedicuring, hair cutting and styling, permanent waving, facials, make-up, and hair removal. The third and fourth years concentrate on hair coloring, chemical hair straightening, advanced nail techniques, barbering, hair extensions, and microdermabrasion.
