Architecture & Design Technology
Architecture & Design Technology
Architecture & Design Technology is the language of engineers, designers, scientists, technicians and tradespeople. Architecture & Design Technology is written in the form of drawings, which represent the shape and size of an object. These drawings are then given to the manufacturers who produce items according to the specifications in the drawings. The students will gain a working understanding of the equipment, software, materials, and tools of the trade. The students will be able to make and interpret drawings, sketches, charts, and schematics. An understanding of CAD, Computer Aided Drafting, and its uses will be an integral part of the course. This course also reflects related academic skills in mathematics, physics, and communications necessary for success as a drafter. Students may continue their studies in the field of architecture.
