WesTech School Store
DECA Gold Level Certified School Based Enterprise 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010
The WesTech School Store is a non-profit retail organization run by the DECA students in the Marketing program at BCIT Westampton. A distinguishing characteristic of the Marketing career major is the Gold Certified BCIT School Store, in which all students in marketing are required to work for class credit, usually during student lunches.
All proceeds made in the School Store benefit DECA students by funding their Regional, State, and International Conferences. The WesTech School Store has made itself a success by developing product lines that are not limited to school dress code appropriate clothing or spirit items. We also carry a complete line of gifts, birthday items, school supplies, backpacks, balloons, and more. It is because of these product lines that the School Store maintains a positive cash flow and a fresh and inviting appearance.
One Day, One Cause, One Cure
DECA, an Association of Marketing Students is a co-curricular CTSO that helps students develop skills in marketing, management and entrepreneurship. DECA holds competitions on regional, state, and national levels in role play, written and oral presentation situations.
